The revelation broke after the singer engaged in conversation with a few players during an AskDua session prior to the first semi-final between India and New Zealand, even though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet disclosed its plans for the Sunday.

As to press reports, Hollywood pop phenomenon Dua Lipa is scheduled to play at the 2023 International Cricket Council Men's Cricket World Cup musical ceremony, which is scheduled to take place before the final match on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Dua had previously performed in the UEFA Champions League and a few other sporting events.

During her interactions with K L Rahul and Shubman Gill from India and Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand, the Albanian singer-songwriter was asked about her favourite songs.

Gill inquired about the song she might perform at the World Cup's opening and closing ceremonies during their conversation. 'Physical' and 'One Kiss' were her answer songs.

She even gave Daryl Mitchell some enticing dancing advice, emphasising that having fun improved every performance.


After four years away, Dua would make her comeback to India if she were to perform at the ICC World Cup final in Ahmedabad on Sunday. In November 2019, the three-time Grammy Award winner made his stage debut in India. Alongside pop sensation Katy Perry, Dua performed at the OnePlus music festival, which took place at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

Other WC final performances


The Indian Air Force has already announced that it will put on an air show during Sunday's final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, though fans may have to wait for Dua's confirmation.


The Gujarat Defence PRO declared that ten minutes prior to the commencement of the championship game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the Motera region, the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will captivate spectators.

The PRO stated in a statement that the air show rehearsals will take place on Friday and Saturday.

A star-studded final


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a few union ministers are expected to attend the final game in Ahmedabad, according to news sources. Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, has also been invited to the championship.

In addition, it is anticipated that Team India's two World Cup-winning captains, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kapil Dev, will join the celebs in supporting the team. Singer Aditya Gadhvi, well-known for "Khalasi,"

Match 1: In Chennai, Australia was defeated by India by 6 wickets.

Australia lost the second match in Lucknow to South Africa by 134 runs.

Match 3: In Lucknow, Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 5 wickets.

Match 4: In Bengaluru, Australia defeated Pakistan by 62 runs.


Match 5: In Delhi, Australia defeated the Netherlands by 309 runs.

Match 6: In Dharamsala, Australia defeated New Zealand by 5 runs.

7th match: Australia wins 33 runs against England in Ahmedabad

Match 8: In Pune, Australia defeated Afghanistan by three wickets.

Match 9: In Pune, Australia defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets.

Australia defeated South Africa in Kolkata by three wickets in the semifinal.

In their seven final appearances in the ICC Cricket World Cup, Australia has emerged victorious five times. Australia will win the coveted World Cup championship for a record sixth time if they defeat India in the IND vs. AUS ODI World Cup 2023 Final.

India would win the event for the third time if they were to defeat Australia.
